Chemical-Resistant Wire
- Use for panel and equipment (hook-up)
- Flexible
- Temperature Range: -65° to 390° F
- Insulation: PTFE Plastic
Our most chemical-resistant wire—the PTFE insulation protects against most chemicals, solvents, and oil. The PTFE is slippery, so it withstands some abrasion. The wire has a silver-plated finish for corrosion resistance and strength. It’s flame rated VW-1 to meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material. Rated MIL-W-16878/4-Type E, it meets stringent military specifications for material quality. Also known as hook-up wire.
Continuous-Flex Wire
- Use for automation, continuous motion
- Continuous Flex
- Temperature Range:
All but Wire with Inner Insulation: -40° to 175° F
Wire with Inner Insulation: 45° to 190° F
Often used in automated applications such as robotics, this wire withstands continuous motion without degrading data or signal transmission.
Wire is a UL recognized component.
Wire gauges 30-36 are UL recognized components up to 30V AC.
Long-Life Continuous-Flex Wire
- Use for automation, continuous motion
- Continuous Flex
- Temperature Range:
Carbon Fiber: 0° to 140° F
Metallic Tinsel: -20° to 175° F - Insulation:
Carbon Fiber: PVC Plastic
Metallic Tinsel: Polypropylene Plastic
The strands in this wire have better fatigue resistance under repeated flexing than the copper strands in standard continuous-flex wire, so it will last longer. Often used in low-current signaling in automated applications such as robotics, it withstands continuous motion without degrading data or signal transmission.
Metallic tinsel wire has thin strands of metal wrapped around a fiber core to provide better flexibility and longer service life than carbon fiber wire. Wire with a polyester plastic core has 21 strands.
High-Voltage Continuous-Flex Wire
- Use for solar equipment, automation, continuous motion
- Continuous Flex
- Temperature Range: -85° to 325° F
- Insulation: Silicone Rubber
A thick insulation protects this wire from high voltages while maintaining flexibility. The insulation also resists moisture. Often used in automated applications such as robotics, it withstands continuous motion without degrading data or signal transmission. It meets UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance.

Motor Winding Wire
- Use for motors
- Bend and Stay
- Maximum Temperature: 390° F
- Insulation: Polyamide
Also known as magnet wire, this wire is commonly used in motors, transformers, relays, and other high-speed winding applications. It meets NEMA 1000 MW-35C for material quality and -73C for use in sealed motors and material quality. It stays in the position you bend it.
Wire Wrap
- Use for circuit boards
- Bend and Stay
- Maximum Temperature: 200° F
This PVDF wire, also known as Kynar wire wraps around a post terminal on a circuit board to make an electrical connection, eliminating the need for soldering. It stays in the shape you bend it for a tight wrap around the post. A silver-plated finish provides corrosion resistance and strength.
Use a wire wrap tool (sold separately) to make a tighter connection than wrapping by hand. The tool also unwinds wire from the post.
Use this tool to tightly wrap wire around a post terminal for a good connection. Insert the wire and the post into the tool; twist the tool to wind the wire around the post. To unwind, use the opposite end of the tool.

Miniature Cable
- Use For: Automation, Interference Shielding, Continuous Motion
- Continuous Flex
- Temperature Range: -40° to 220° F
- Insulation: PVC Plastic
Often used in computers, small electronics, and electronic prototyping, this cable is very flexible with small gauge wire to handle tight curves in narrow spaces. It withstands continuous motion, so it’s also commonly used around heavy vibration and in automated tasks, including robotics. A braid shield blocks interference from nearby equipment.
